Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications at the moment are open and may close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the following criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home with a combined gross home income that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined residence money does not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and want not submit any proof of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS more info Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent people from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the proper Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected in their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are finding out or intend to research at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
